It's this site's one-year anniversary!

...and the time has gotten away from me so quickly.

When I first put myself out there on the internet, I had high hopes that this site would soon become my personal hub on the web, featuring my social links, my art, my blogs and writings; in the back of my mind, I wanted to make videos and comics, and I even wanted to add a social media feed on the front page. My first blog post here was crazy foreshadowing, as it seems my ambition has gotten ahead of me with my website just as it has with everything else I want to do.

The truth is, I haven't had enough time or energy to make any major updates in months. I took a job as a teacher this year, which has taken up a lot of my resources just to be marginally successful at it. The demands of the job — from preparing classroom materials to managing unruly students — have taken a significant toll on my well-being. I don't want to get into all the details here, since that isn't what this post is about. The point is that I had a very busy and stressful year that took me away from updating this site!

Even so, there are a few things I've been working on behind the scenes. Expect some exciting new updates:

  • I am almost done with my first fanpage! It's dedicated to Arzette: The Jewel of Faramore, a video game inspired by the infamous Zelda CD-i series
  • I've been working on some new (minor) visual updates for the site as a whole
  • A few articles are currently sitting in my drafts, waiting to be polished up and shipped out!
  • In addition, I will be participating in Art Fight again this year. Check out my profile here if you want to attack me! ;P
